I have played since age 7, studied since age 13, and played professionally since age 18. I work professionally as a band leader, composer, and side person. After around 25 years of experience on the guitar, I can confidently say that I am equipped to share the knowledge that I have accumulated over the years. In all honesty: I have never found myself to be particularly "talented". But I am a hard worker. I truly believe that talent is not something you are born with, but something you can develop and grow. Together we will explore secrets and tips for a healthy guitar routine. We will improve your technique and ear training abilities with direct and fun exercises. Whether you are just a beginner or an intermediate/advanced guitarist, we can explore the instrument and all its possibilities. Trusted teacher: Hi, i'm Sasha and I've been actively teaching music for the last 10 years. I'm very passionate about music and guitar in particular and it brings me a lot of joy to be able to share this passion. I enjoy being able to explain a musical topic well, working on it together with a student and seeing them grow into musician they aspire to be. I don't think everybody who is a good musician can be a good teacher and I had some bad teachers in my life so I put a lot of effort in being on the top of my game. It is important for me to have a comfortable and friendly atmosphere during lessons, set individual goals based on musical tastes and have a structured, personalised approach. This class is meant for students of different age groups and playing levels. From absolute beginners to more advanced players. The approach is individual and we will discuss the desired goals in advance and build the learning process around those. Some topics that are usually covered are rhythm guitar, being able to accompany yourself while singing (in different styles and techniques), lead guitar, improvisation (from basics to advanced), general knowledge of the fretboard and technique. There will very likely be some degree of music theory during guitar lessons as I am a firm believer that you have to understand the thing you're learning to fully master it, but no worries - it will only be as much as is necessary to have the control and understanding of the instrument in a chosen style (and if you are into music theory I will be more than happy to nerd out together!).

From day 1 Panagiotis has tailored my lessons to my personal music tastes which makes learning the instrument all the more enjoyable. His lessons allow me to learn songs to build up my repertoire as well as providing some more challenging songs to push my technique and skills. Although I did not specifically start lessons with the intention of learning any music theory Panagiotis has a way of making theory accessible to everyone and I now begin to actually enjoy learning it, which helps support what I do on the instrument. Panagiotis is clam, patient and has an approachable manner and is very supportive throughout the lessons and provides lots of positive encouragement.
