Trusted teacher: My name is Andrey and I’m a French 🇫🇷 teacher living in Paris. My extensive experience allows me to vary my teaching styles. The communicative approach is the cornerstone of my teaching style but I also place a strong emphasis on pronunciation, especially when it comes to teaching French. For any language, I tend to select teaching materials that align with the student's personal or professional interests. Take a look at some of my reviews below (not all of them are here) and let them paint the picture for you. In terms of my background, I have degrees in teaching French and English, and I've also studied legal translation and IT law. I've been immersed in language teaching for nearly 13 years now. My passion lies in both learning and teaching languages. I can also help you study for your DELF-DALF diplomas to validate your French learning. I worked with English-speaking executives from various private and public institutions, including banks and government administrations. They all now speak French. I know how to quickly adjust to changes in teaching methods depending on your goals. Whether you’re looking to practice conversational French, improve your pronunciation, grammar, prepare for an exam, or a job interview I’d be happy to help you. 🇫🇷 : Je m'appelle Andrey et je suis professeur de français vivant à Paris. Mon expérience me permet de varier mes méthodes d'enseignement. L'approche communicative est la pierre angulaire de ma pédagogie, mais j'accorde également une grande importance à la prononciation, en particulier lorsqu'il s'agit d'enseigner le français. Pour toute langue, j'ai tendance à choisir des supports pédagogiques qui correspondent aux intérêts personnels ou professionnels de l'élève. Trusted teacher: In these neuro-divergent times, the binary division of "one language or two" in bilinguals is perhaps due some contestation, which students are capable of providing. I have always found bilingual production models (and the ubiquitous Powerpoint slide) that university teachers provide a hindrance because of their lack of explicitness and discussion - they are just not relatable as presented nor do they provide much information or examples for monolingual students. Code-switching, a by-product of bilingualism, is now a term that is even found in minority-ethnic neighbourhood grafitti ("can white people code-switch" a found example). Please note that this is a linguistic term, used for switching between two languages, and not between local or social varieties of English. My personal position is that there is no such thing as bilingualism: there is always a language that suffers attrition, and one language that prevails, mostly because of its prestigious standing over the other language. On the other hand, a child exposed to more than one language cannot be truly monolingual. For this course (very popular at universities around Europe both at undergraduate and postgraduate level) we shall go through the terms used to discuss bilingualism, in detail, and then discuss, with the help of published books and articles, who can be considered bilingual (or are we all, one other language lying dormant?). Can bilingualism be defined by the speaker, instead of the "community"? Can it be imposed by the State? Does a bilingual brain function in the same manner as a monolingual brain? These are research questions that emerge as dissertation or thesis topics both at undergraduate and postgraduate courses.

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any level (Turin)
Giorgia
I started my lessons with Giorgia four months ago, and I am so glad to have found her. As a 26-year-old beginner, I was not sure if I should even try to pursue learning an instrument at this point. But now I am so glad I did! I am learning online, and I was a little unsure of how lessons via webcam would go. Despite my prejudice, everything turned out great, even though my setup is quite basic. Her approach to teaching is very creative. She is able to explain things that seem hard to put into words, and she always finds comparisons and descriptions that convey clearly little details of approach that make a lot of difference in the end result. For any difficulty I encountered, she presented methods of exercise that helped correct it. Another thing that I appreciate is that from one lesson to the next, the volume of work is challenging enough that I feel I am making progress, but not to the point that I am overwhelmed. Also, even though I am just beginning and the pieces are not that complex, she explains the musical interpretation in a way that not only helps me advance my skill but also enriches the way I understand and listen to music, and I find great value in that. Her manner of teaching is very organic, and she is a patient teacher with a warm presence. I wholeheartedly recommend her lessons!

Certified French Tutor Offering In-Person and Online Lessons in Paris (Paris)
Andrey
I have been working with Andrey for about 2 months now, and I have to say he has been instrumental in my language learning journey. I have been working with him in different time zones across the world, and he has always been game to make something work -either taking appointments in the early afternoon, or the evenings. His understanding of French grammar and pronunciation, as well as his second to none note-taking skills, have allowed me to work on the parts of the French language that I struggle with most. He does all this while maintaining a relaxed and comfortable environment, where I feel ok to take things slower when I need to and transition back to English when necessary. It is honestly a pleasure to work with someone who understands how to teach the language to a native English speaker and has the materials to offer during the learning journey as well. No comment he gives, goes without thought, and I am thrilled to be working with someone who cares as much as I do about me becoming more comfortable with French.

Singing classes in Vienna for all age students and musical styles (Online/Offline) (Vienna)
Denise
Mrs. Denise has demonstrated passion, mastery and, above all, great versatility as a teacher. She has skillfully recaptured the spirit of a Medieval song with imaginative vocal intensity, while discussing in great detail the lyrical content, linguistic nuances, and the historical context of the song, as well as guiding me through the intricacies of the Occitan language with confidence and poise.
