Later in life I moved to the Netherlands to study Classical Voice at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I grew up in a big family with lots of kids (I have 9 siblings), I know how to communicate with kids of various ages and how to teach them in a playful matter. I love cpommunicating with people, which is also the base of my classes. How I build up my classes always depends on my student’s wishes, whether it’s the wish to improve their communication skills or to work on their grammar. I try to make my lessons as interesting as possible, using different exercises to playfully learn the language. I always aim for variations, we speak, we write, we read and we listen. I can also give homework and correct it, if that’s what the student wants. If the wish is only to communicate and to improve the pronounciation, that’s also fine by me. I love helping and supporting people in becoming their best version, so whatever makes you happy makes me happy :) I love seeing my students improve, it motivates me to go on and support them in their language skills even more!

Wow! I have to say I never had a language teacher like this! We spent the first meeting assessing the language level, and I don't mean A2 or B1, he evaluated my capabilities individually. In the evening he sent me countless multimedia sources that I could use to train all facets of the language at my level. He is very invested and expects the same from you, if you want a relaxed language class once a week that keeps you in your comfort zone and at the same level he is not for you. I decided to follow along and do as much as I could. Doing two classes a week I learned more Spanish than I would have ever thought to be possible!!! Furthermore, he takes care of your cultural education, a few weeks in the language journey we had a class at his house where he cooked an amazing dinner and we talked until late in the night. I recommend this amazing teacher 12/10!

Eric communicated with us well and was punctual for the first session. He listened to our wishes & concerns regarding our boys language learning. Eric delivered his lesson with confidence and was able to explain easily enough for our boys to understand. Our 2 boys really enjoyed the lesson and are keen to continue learning with Eric. We were really pleased with him and can recommend him.

Sophie is a the third German language teacher I have worked with and she is by far the best. She is very patient with my questions (and lack of vocab :P) and provides feedback and exercises to improve for the following week. I would highly recommend Sophie to anyone interested in learning German :)
