You will make fast progress, not only because the lessons are intensive and tailored to your needs and as sole student, there is no one to hold you back. You will receive structured homework to increase your progress. This can account for up to 20% of overall learning. I assess and aim to cater for your needs, whether beginner, intermediate or advanced level. GROUP ‘EXAM BUSTING’ SESSIONS Several students learning together is a most effective way of bringing an added dimension to the class. Students in partnership often form a strong bond, motivating each other, and working well together. Six is my suggested maximum as it is vital to keep the tuition as intensive as possible. We practice written, listening and oral exam papers and can also iron out any grammar or vocabulary issues that are relevant to the particular exam at the appropriate level. MY APPROACH TO TUTORING I carefully assess where my students have gaps in their knowledge and then build on closing them through grammar and vocabulary. I therefore give my students the building blocks to create their own sentences in writing and speech. I work with their text books but also provide my own material to make lessons more interesting. I also use interactive material as well as focussing on past papers and oral exams to help gain confidence in the language. I engage well with all my students and make the lessons enjoyable and less like an extension of school. My conversation classes with adults are always fast-paced and fun, and my students very quickly widen their vocabulary and gain confidence in the new language.

Trusted teacher: Contrary to popular belief, learning Latin is not like learning the phone book by heart. I offer you Latin lessons that are unlike any other. There are two types of courses. Here is an analogy to illustrate their respective approaches: If you take the train back and forth every day and don't have time to wait long at the platform, imagine that you only have two options: 1) Learn the schedules by heart. 2) Note that the train arrives every ten minutes and that a train arrives for example at 7:00 a.m. In school pedagogy, in study notebooks and in ordinary courses, it is the first approach which is adopted - in the courses that I offer you, it is the second because it is more economical and faster. My offer is aimed at both students and adults who want to learn the Latin language or deepen their knowledge without time-consuming detours through the insanities of school methods which do not produce results. Learning is easy but unlearning what has become a bad habit is extremely difficult. All the more important it is to learn the right reflexes as early as possible. With my tailor-made teaching you will accelerate your learning in a positive state of mind. I offer individual or group Latin lessons (2 to 5 people). The methods are based on cognitive sciences and in particular historical linguistics. Kevin is a genius, who is capable of breaking down complex concepts into manageable, useful bits. If you think of a really large basket of vegetables and fruits. You know all the nutrients are good for you, but it would be tedious to try to eat it all raw. But then, you get a juicer or blender or 'Nutribullet', and juice all those vegetables and fruits into a refreshing smoothie. You can then drink that smoothie as quickly or slowly as you wish, and still get all the necessary nutrients... That's what Kevin can do - he juices all the complex intricacies of the German language into something you can understand and digest. His methods are unconventional, but very helpful in laying a proper foundation for a successful language learning journey. Very highly recommended.

Awni is a wonderful instructor! He is very patient, will answer any question you can think of, and can have a laugh with you during lessons as well!
