While I had a fairly okay level of French already, Madeira really helped me polish my language skills and achieve the level of refinement and ease in my formal conversational skills which I needed for my interview. She was able to expertly identify what areas I needed to improve upon, and through her exercises and feedback I was able to greatly improve my oral skills. Madeira was also incredibly receptive to any requests that I had regarding things which I wanted to work on, and she went above and beyond in helping me understand technical portions of French grammar with which I have always had issues. Overall, I strongly recommend Madeira as a French teacher to anyone attempting to improve on their French skills.

Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.
