With 10 years of teaching experience in secondary school and many years of experience in private lessons (including 3 years in main activity during a previous availability), I offer my help in French, although this is not the subject for which I obtained the aggregation. However, I have sometimes been asked to teach French as part of short-term replacements in college (replacements for French colleagues who are late in having replacements appointed to their posts). I have been practicing video-format lessons since March 2020 and since then have been more equipped to ensure greater comfort for my students: headphones with microphone (quality sound), graphics tablet connected to an interactive whiteboard, camera-viewer of documents, front lighting reducing unpleasant shadows, Véléda paintings behind me. Please respect the reserved hours. The courses are adjustable in advance. Any course canceled less than 24 hours in advance is due at 50%. Indeed, the time that I could waste managing multiple cancellations and rescheduling of courses is time that I cannot put to the service of the success of my students. In addition, the presence of a framework, of operating rules is necessary for the investment of the students who engage in a process of accompaniment. So, I also ask you to be punctual and to start your computer and your videoconferencing software a few minutes in advance in order to start the session on time, not to waste precious minutes of class (the session will end at the time initially scheduled ... 10 minutes late means 10 minutes of lost lessons) and to respect the students who have lessons after you. My apologies to Vendula for not having written this review before now. Three weeks ago I was in Lyon for the weekend and Vendula was my tutor. I chose Vendula as she seemed to be very bubbly, friendly and understanding of my learning needs and level. Her communication was excellent and she gave much thought about how best to maximise my learning experience. We met as agreed and Vendula was exactly how she seemed - interested, interesting and passionate about providing the best learning environment for me, and she was incredibly patient. I throughly enjoyed her company and we experienced much of Lyon’s culture, including local delicacies, cafe theatre entertainment and the popular Sunday fresh food market. Vendula had taken the time to prepare 9 tasks for me, which ranged from speaking with strangers to obtain information to solving clues relating to Lyon history. It was excellent and provided a great framework for my learning. I strongly recommend Vendula and hope that one day we can meet again, for me to advance my French conversational skills further. She is sincere, thoughtful, funny and "sympa", and above all, she is great at conversation.
