Trusted teacher: Hi, I'm Natalie! I’ve been working as a professional writer and editor since 2009, and I started to offer writing tutoring in 2010. During all my years of writing coaching, I have worked with hundreds of students who have never been taught how to write strong, descriptive sentences. They don’t understand how to construct a well-organized, meaningful paragraph, or they have never seen an essay developed without the famous “5 Paragraph Structure” outline in place. They do not know what critical thinking is or how it helps them become assertive, enthusiastic writers. The writing process itself is also a learning process from start to finish. Before we begin lessons, students submit a short writing sample so I can assess which skill area we should target first. Writing coaching is where I show and guide my students how to better their writing using different techniques. Like in any sport or the arts, evaluation and constructive criticism are another important aspect of their writing growth. They get feedback and advice specific to the assignments and projects they are working on, and practice outside of lessons is necessary if they want to see regular improvement and make progress. We also work on writing mechanics, which includes English grammar rules. This helps them become stronger writers and speakers, aware of common mistakes and how to avoid them. You want your child to practice grammar skills with a native speaker who has studied English for decades and knows the rules inside out. Every person in the world has the potential to be a confident, eloquent writer. All it takes is one step — or sentence — forward in the right direction. I am excited to walk with you on the path to successful writing.

I am a former University Senior Lecturer with over 20 years experience in teaching and research. I am passionate about inspiring individuals to aim high. I have assisted multiple students and early career academics to achieve their goals. I worked in research and teaching roles within UK universities between 2004 and 2024 and am an Advance HE Fellow. I am the author of four books, have published in a range of international peer reviewed journals and have chapters in various other books. I also have significant experience in peer-reviewing for academic journals. After a twenty-year career in UK higher education I decided to embark on my own freelance private tutoring and academic consultancy business. I have delivered bespoke 1:1 tutorials to university students since April 2023. I was a part-time private tutor from April 2023 to June 2024 and have been full-time since then working with various tutoring agencies. I teach social sciences, qualitative research methods, study skills and academic writing and I have assisted students from undergraduate to PhD level. I have also assisted early career researchers or those new to teaching at the higher education level. I believe that students learn best when they construct knowledge for themselves rather than passively take it in, so all my classes are student-centred and aim to help you become an independent learner by improving your skills so that you can perform better in your assessments. I offer online lessons. A typical online lesson is 1-2 hours. I can also read, review and provide detailed feedback on your work if required.

I am in the process of looking for a new job in the public/corporate sector as an economist, and on this occasion, I thought I'd get advice from an expert coach to review my CV and cover letter. Chemistry for High School and University exams (English) (Almere Stad)
Loreta A.
I reached out to Loreta because I had to learn a long list of topics in chemistry in order to prepare myself for university, in a relatively short period of time of being only about half a year. Loreta was able to prepare classes for me that not only made it easy for me to understand, but they contained everything I needed and whenever I had issues with something that I didn't understand, she was really helpful and patient with me. She was an awesome teacher for the short period of time she helped me, she made the classes fun and I think if I had a teacher like her in highschool I would've had a much easier time preparing for uni :) Overall I had a great experience with her and I can't recommend her enough
