Trusted teacher: Whether you are just starting to study, have been studying for a long time, or have returned to study books later in life, at some point you may feel that you are reaching the limits of your own abilities. Perhaps you are faced with a specific topic, a specific assignment, a teacher, or you are stuck with your graduation. Before you make an irreversible decision based on mounting frustrations, send me a message. There is a good chance that I have time and space to discuss your situation with you and help you make a new start with new insights. With more than 10 years of experience as a tutor, mentor, study coach, thesis supervisor and teacher, I have seen and been able to guide many students and students through very different challenges. You can contact me for almost all writing assignments, for academic skills such as critical reading and effective studying, and I help many graduate students who are working on a thesis or another graduation assignment. In addition, it is good to know that I help many people who struggle with fear of failure, perfectionism, ADD, autism, exam stress, procrastination, and, for example, dyslexia. I am convinced that it is not 'IQ', or 'insight' or 'aptitude' or anything like that that is decisive for the ability to understand, complete, or master something. I believe that study strategy is the central factor. And that is typically something that you can develop based on a number of basic insights into the functioning of the human brain. Who knows, see you soon. Ivar

Trusted teacher: Approach to Teaching – I favor a structured approach. I devise lesson plans in advance of every lesson, catering to the student's specific needs. – Academic lessons tend to be structured around specific sections of the syllabus, or particular topics that students require help with. – I employ a seminar-style format. I flesh out ideas with the aid of quotations, other audio-visual resources, and analytical commentary. I structure my lesson plans with a view to providing gaps, in which students are able to ask questions about the content. I am also happy for students to interrupt the flow of the lesson if a burning question arises. – I use Powerpoint to provide students with a variety of resources and visual stimuli. Lesson Structure – Academic lessons tend to be 45 minutes to an hour in length, but I can adapt my teaching schedule to provide students with additional support if needed. – Typically violin lessons range in length from 30 minutes to an hour, but I am flexible: I am more than happy to devise a lesson structure that caters to a student's requirements. Academic Credentials – I am a candidate for a Ph.D. in Music at the University of Cambridge. – I hold an MPhil in Music from the University of Cambridge, where I specialized in Historical Musicology and Musical Aesthetics. – I have a first-class music degree (74.4%) from the University of Manchester, where I won three Hargreaves Prizes for Academic Achievement. – I have worked as an Assistant Music Teacher, which involved teaching Music A-Level students. Professional Credentials – I have worked as a private violin teacher for 7 years (since I was 17). I have taught a variety of students, from beginners starting their instrumental training to more advanced performers looking to improve their technical facility and performance skills. – I have an extensive portfolio of performing credits on documentary films. Recent highlights include the BAFTA-nominated score for the BBC docuseries on Ghislaine Maxwell and Jeffrey Epstein 'House of Maxwell' (BBC2, 2022), and 'Sir Alex Ferguson: Never Give In' (Netflix) (Passion Pictures / Universal Pictures) (2021). – I have extensive experience as an orchestral musician and chamber music performer. With the amount of time they spend with us, watching us grow into better professionals, the academic evolution and the foremost into more responsible human beings. I can affirm categorically that Eva seems to be a great teacher, and I am very optimistic to the journey we will start together. Yesterday when I had a meeting with her I felt like she is a lady who cheer up the students and help them according to their needs. And most import she teach life lessons of confidence. Teachers and professors who taught life lessons are far greater than teaching standard based content. I am very happy I found this lady. Daniel
My first lesson with Daniel was just what I wanted and more. Daniel made me feel very comfortable and let me play some music I had been working on. Then Daniel looked at all aspects of my playing in a thorough manner and signposted plans for future lessons. I was really wanting my technique to be reviewed thoroughly and Daniel did exactly this, in a very supportive and encouraging manner. It was incredible to hear the change to my playing Daniel helped me make within the hour. Looking forward to the next lesson! Many thanks!

Emilia
My daughter has started taking lessons from Emilia. The lessons are about writing essays in English and speaking. There was a good connection from the start, she was very engaging and on top of the topics. Emilia also regularly has given me feedback about my daughters development. Our experience with Emilia was more and above our expectations so far. She was also giving homework's and reviewing the homework before the lesson, so very happy to have chosen her for private English lessons.
