My students come from diverse backgrounds and age groups, and are located in various parts of the world, including Canada, Taiwan, France, Tunisia, Senegal and Belgium. My lessons are student-centred, engaging, and flexible! Lessons are continuously adapted to suit the individual; every lesson is structured based on the needs of the student. The focus of lessons will initially be based on a student needs assessment carried out at the start of your course, and subsequent lessons will be adapted based on your progress throughout the duration of a specific course. Specific learning areas may include: * Refining pronunciation * Practicing everyday language and conversational skills * Exam preparation, focusing on specific grammar and/or vocabulary * Reading comprehension and practice * Writing correction and practice * CV and Cover letter drafting * Job interview preparation Lessons are conducted almost entirely in English. Even though I'm married to a US citizen and have been speaking English at home and work for years, I felt I was no longer improving until I started regular lessons with Tom. The lessons are incredibly helpful. I am very much interested in improving my grasp of idiom and usage. Tom is very good at finding my mistakes and helping me to improve my English. He's also very reliable, and he's flexible regarding the timings of the meetings. It's a fun experience, and I highly recommend Tom!
