Any age or level is welcome. I have taught children from 4 years of age to adults of 72 years of age; one-to-one lessons or in pairs or small groups. Classes are conducted online via WhatsApp, Skype or Zoom. In our first online meeting, I would like to find out a little bit about yourself and your reasons for needing English lessons. When I know what you wish to achieve, I can adapt the lesson materials to focus on exactly what you want to do. I am a TefL accredited English teacher with 16 years of experience teaching one-to-one lessons. I hold three university degrees. I have personal experience learning a new language and can therefore be empathetic in my teaching style as I know how daunting and tough it can be. My aim is to make learning English as easy and uncomplicated as possible for you.

Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.
