These classes are designed to help you achieve your individual goals. My aim will be to keep you motivated and engaged to learn and practice English during and outside of the lesson. You will develop skills to help you communicate like native English speakers. I will do this in a variety of ways, adopting different teaching techniques and tools from (pictures, games, activities, videos, podcasts, music, books, newspaper articles) making the lessons interesting and dynamic. Lesson plans will be created based on your individual goals, age, level and interests. Homework will be set regularly and balanced to avoid overwhelming students. Lessons with me will enable you to develop skills in: reading, comprehension, pronunciation, vocabulary, creative writing, writing including in a Business context (emails, reports etc.), conversational skills to improve fluency. Classes will be tailored for all age-groups and levels, including young learners. To give you the optimal learning experience, I will offer flexibility and personalised approach to meet your individual needs. You do not need to worry about how much or how little you know before learning with me. My professional background in HR and IT Project Management over the last 24 years, means I will listen to you and we will work together to make your learning journey enjoyable. Since early 2021, I have dedicated my time to volunteering to support children aged between 5 -10 years with basic literacy skills across England. This has included non-native speakers as well those children who might be behind the required levels. I have delivered nearly 140 reading sessions online during 2024 with a number of schools. My passion for teaching young learners in particular has grown to ensure everyone has a good start in life, communicating in a language which is recognised globally. I am a tutor with 7+ years of experience teaching at a variety of levels from primary school to GCSE level. I teach English Language, English Literature, ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), Maths, and Creative Writing. I have taught students both in person and remotely, planning lessons using virtual presentations, activities and resources both in the UK and abroad. I believe the most successful results come from fostering a friendship with my students, and providing constant encouragement and support in their areas of interest. I pride myself on being an attentive listener and carefully adapt to the specific needs of my students, which is particularly helpful for my SEN and ESOL pupils. I have previously volunteered as a mentor with charities such as Al Muntaha Tutoring and Debate Mate, providing mentorship, relevant advice, and support to young people. At the beginning of every lesson I also do short icebreaker activities and challenges with my students, using a points reward system to keep them engaged. Previous students have gone on to become the top of their class and receive recognition at school for both English and Maths. Lessons start at 1 hour in length, with longer lessons available if required. Lessons are structured according to the needs of the student; this can be working alongside their class syllabus to support them with progress at school, tackling an area or subject they are specifically struggling with, or helping them prepare for national exams such as GCSEs. I provide feedback after every lesson and detailed progress reports every six months for each student. I primarily offer online lessons as I have found this works well for me and my students, but in some cases I do teach face-to-face depending on location and availability within London. My name is Younes and I am a qualified English teacher and a French instructor who lives in the UK. I love working with adults and children of all ages, which allows me to help them reach their full potential. I am currently teaching in London at my own college. I have been teaching and preparing students for the last 12 years. I taught many French and English classes such as ESOL, ESL, or Functional Skills. Most of these exams are based in England however I have also thought TOEIC to prepare French students for all of these exams. I use different software to teach such as Zoom or Skype. I use different resources (such as PDF and Word documents) for my classes. I also have a virtual whiteboard available. A typical session with me takes between 1h30 minutes to 2 hours. I like helping students that are between A1 to B2 levels however my main goal is to help students to become advanced or fluent. I would be happy to adapt to any student based on your objective, of course. One of my main goals is to support your vocabulary and grammar. What really made me unique is that I was in the same position as you and today I have become fluent.
