Trusted teacher: Hi, My name is Katarina Viktoria and I am a multi-cultured music student. I was born in Latvia to a Ukrainian/Russian mother and a Swedish father. At the age of 3 we moved to Switzerland where I grew up in a German and Swiss German environment and these two languages became native to me. During my life in Switzerland we moved to the US for a year where I learned English and went to primary school. Later in life I moved to the Netherlands to study Classical Voice at the Royal Conservatory of The Hague. I grew up in a big family with lots of kids (I have 9 siblings), I know how to communicate with kids of various ages and how to teach them in a playful matter. I love cpommunicating with people, which is also the base of my classes. How I build up my classes always depends on my student’s wishes, whether it’s the wish to improve their communication skills or to work on their grammar. I try to make my lessons as interesting as possible, using different exercises to playfully learn the language. I always aim for variations, we speak, we write, we read and we listen. I can also give homework and correct it, if that’s what the student wants. If the wish is only to communicate and to improve the pronounciation, that’s also fine by me. I love helping and supporting people in becoming their best version, so whatever makes you happy makes me happy :) I love seeing my students improve, it motivates me to go on and support them in their language skills even more!

Hugh
Hugh is a teacher unlike anything I have ever experienced. He positively surprised me several times. The way of teaching is very impressive. From the first moment I felt at ease. I was quite insecure about my English language but Hugh helped me completely. In addition to improving my English language, Hugh has also taught me some great life lessons. What sets Hugh apart is not just his knowledge but his ability to connect with the student. His approachability and genuine concern for my understanding have created an atmosphere where I felt valued and encouraged. In addition, he was a fascinating motivator and a great source of inspiration, the perfect example of what an English teacher should be. It is clear that he has a lot of experience in everything that has to do with teaching. After every lesson I went home with a very good feeling. His teaching style is very excellent! Rayen
Rayen made an effort to contact me prior to the lesson to determine my level and inquire what I wished to focus on. She also called at the agreed upon time. These may seem like minor details, but not all teachers do these. She had appropriate level material ready to share and go over for the lesson. She made corrections as needed and readings were repeated as necessary. My only suggestion would be that she speak a bit more slowly. but this is a matter of individual taste.

Sandra is an excellent teacher - she's extremely knowledgeable of spanish grammar and vocabulary, and is very good at explaining difficult concepts in a simple way. She clearly put a lot of effort into every lesson, which resulted in me improving quite a lot in just a few lessons. Best of all she's a great person who is fun to talk with. Every class was truly enjoyable.
