According to several studies, including a study conducted by Cambridge in 2022, the best method to learn a language is through immersion (exposure and engagement). This means that when we learn topics or activities that interest us, the brain activates the prefrontal cortex, the striatum, the limbic system, and the hippocampus, which are the areas of long-term memory, motivation, concentration, reward, and emotional experience. These functions together create greater receptivity to new information. It is about talking about topics that motivate and interest us to enhance learning. They are also life tools that benefit us all. The more a person opens up to talking and reflecting on their personal experiences, whether positive or negative, the more they will be able to handle life's difficulties and improve their well-being. Very clear as to what his teaching methods and goals are, how he'll help you get there - then jumps right in and gets you started with no fuss. I found myself speaking sentences in Wolof by the end of the lesson, and really appreciate the additional written material he supplied as well. As someone who has taught and learned various other languages I can tell that Dembane has a really sound methodology. I'll add to this review in a few months time, but so far I am impressed. Also glad that he is pointing out regional differences between Senegal and Gambia usage to me, as it's relevant to my learning needs. He does personalise the content for the individual student, which is good to see.

Great teacher! I started acoustic guitar lessons from zero and I have learned so much with Sergio, he is an excellent teacher, very knowledgeable and patient, he also encourage you to keep practicing to achieve your goals while providing you with very useful material to do it. I really recommend Sergio as a music teacher, he plays a lot of instruments. Excelente profesor, yo empecé clases de guitarra acústica desde cero y he aprendido mucho con Sergio, sabe mucho y es muy paciente, además te anima a seguir practicando para que alcances tus metas y te provee muy buen material para lograrlo.
