I started working as an English teacher in 2016 in Lyon, France in primary schools, middle schools, and high schools before working as a teacher at Université Lyon 2 most recently. I've been giving private English lessons since 2018. While working I've given many private lessons to kids from the ages of eight years old all the way to 17 years old. My way of teaching is primarily through movement, games, and immersive conversation techniques. As a teacher I've found that the typical school system is not always conducive to learning a second language. My goal is to have your kid feel judgment free and have positive associations when learning English. While I do teach grammar it is rather through conversation and interaction than in the typical school way. I am free after school hours. Occasionally I am free during the day or on the weekends. Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing.

Helen is an incredible teacher, I look forward to every class I have with her. She explains things very well and you can tell she is invested in you learning the language. She makes you feel very comfortable which is important when learning a new language. I’ve been practicing with her for just over a month and I can feel my French getting so much better. Husam started to teach my son at the end of last year. He took into account his age, his level of English as well as his interests when suggesting a programme to follow. My son really enjoys his lessons with Husam. He is flexible in terms of agreeing date and time for the lessons.
