Buongiorno a tutti! Sono un'insegnante d'inglese con qualifiche ed esperienza. Durante gli ultimi 12 anni ho vissuto tra Inghilterra, Cina e Stati Uniti, lavorando e interagendo sempre in inglese. Adesso, per motivi personali, sono tornato nella mia città natia, Catania. Sono un professionista serio e al momento impartisco lezioni inglese per via telematica, tramite video-chiamata. Mi candido sia per insegnare inglese privatamente, individuali o per piccoli gruppi di massimo 3 persone, sia come insegnante in scuole d'inglese, nel catanese, ma posso considerare anche fuori. Il mio inglese è perfetto, forse meglio del mio italiano (che è comunque buonissimo, come potete leggere) dato che, come dicevo prima, ho vissuto e lavorato per gli ultimi 12 anni all'estero. Allego lo scan dei miei titoli (PGCE, Post Graduate Course Education) dall'Università di Portmouth, England e TEFL (Teacher of English as a Foreign Language) acquisito in Bangkok, Thailandia. Hello everybody! I am a qualified and experienced English teacher. For the last 12 years, I have lived and worked in England, China and the United States. Now, for personal reasons, I am back to Catania, my hometown. I am a professional and, at the moment, I am teaching online. I offer my expertise for both private lessons, to individuals or small groups (max. 3 people). I also offer my expertise to private schools, in Catania but also outside of it. Having lived abroad for 12 years, always working and interacting in English, my language skills are of a native level, maybe even better than my Italian (that is anyway pretty good, as you can read). Hello, my name is Linda. I live in a town called Midrand, which is in Johannesburg, South Africa. I moved here about 18 years ago, from a small town on the South Coast of South Africa called Hibberdene. I spent most of my time growing up on the beach and enjoying the outdoors. My passions from as far back as I can recall have been the outdoors, music, reading and animals. I chose to qualify as a preschool teacher at a very young age and went on to get this qualification in 1998. I had the honour of teaching many wonderful young students who taught me that teaching and assisting others was a passion. After many years of teaching various students privately, I learnt about teaching English as a second language and went on to get my CELTA qualification in 2013. My passion in seeing how another person’s eyes light up when they learn something has encouraged my desire to teach and assist as many people as I can. I have worked with students of most ages, ethnic backgrounds and various learning disabilities. I always do my best to work within the student's ability and requirements to get the best results. My other passions have meant I always have animals in my home, who are like my family. I have had many types of animals and have spent as much time with them as I could. I love equine sports and have competed on my horse for many years. Unfortunately, she is now retired. We still do basic out-rides and enjoy as much time together as possible. It is always a pleasure to meet Phil for our weekly online French classes. He is a patient and kind teacher and always full of energy for our class. Phil is interested in a wide range of topics, so we always have something to talk about based on an article he selected as 'homework'. What I really appreciate about his way of teaching is that he corrects me during our conversation without breaking the flow of our talk, so I can really feel my confidence in speaking French increasing each class. Rayen made an effort to contact me prior to the lesson to determine my level and inquire what I wished to focus on. She also called at the agreed upon time. These may seem like minor details, but not all teachers do these. She had appropriate level material ready to share and go over for the lesson. She made corrections as needed and readings were repeated as necessary. My only suggestion would be that she speak a bit more slowly. but this is a matter of individual taste.
