Trusted teacher: I offer online or face-to-face English lessons to non-native speakers. I work with the student to identify learning objectives and any areas of weakness and tailor the lesson accordingly. Areas covered during the lesson include, speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar accent reduction. I currently live in Den Haag, The Netherlands. In addition to private coaching, I also work for an online ESL company delivering English lessons to children across a range of age groups. In addition, I also work as an ESL proofreader and IELTS private tutor here in The Hague. I hold a BA (Hons) degree and have a CELTA qualification. Prior to a career in ESL English teaching, I worked in the UK national press for the Times and Financial Times newspapers. It was there I developed my proofreading and communications skills. In my spare time, I write articles for magazines and have had feature stories published in The Telegraph magazine, The Daily Mail and a number of health magazines. I have also written two language books. The first, 'I Already Speak Speak French!' is an illustrated book for children that covers the etymology of many English words to their French origin (attached is a sample of it for your interest!). It has been translated for the French market into, 'I Already Speak English!' The second book is called, 'Learn Business English FAST!' which draws on a teaching methodology used for effective, fast learning that I used whilst teaching English for the international company, GoFluent.

My English lessons are designed to cater to students of all ages and levels, from beginners to advanced learners, including those preparing for exams like TOEFL, TOEIC, or university entrance tests. I offer personalized courses for children, teenagers, and adults, adjusting my approach based on their specific needs and learning styles. Course Structure Each lesson typically begins with a warm-up activity to get students comfortable and engaged. I like to start with a short conversation, review previous material, and set the goals for the session. Depending on the student’s needs, we then focus on different areas such as listening, speaking, reading, or writing. I believe in keeping lessons varied and dynamic to maintain interest and encourage active participation. My Teaching Methods I use a blend of traditional methods and modern, interactive techniques. For example, when working on grammar, I combine clear explanations with lots of practice through exercises and real-life examples. For speaking and listening, I focus on conversations, role-playing, and using media like videos or songs to immerse students in the language. For younger students, I create a fun and engaging learning environment using games, activities, and stories to make the language come alive. For older students, especially those preparing for exams, I focus on exam strategies, time management, and practicing under timed conditions to help them feel confident on the test day. My Specialties One of my strengths as a teacher is my ability to adapt to each student's learning pace and style. I’m very patient and passionate about creating a positive learning experience, so no matter what challenges a student might face, I’m here to help them through it with encouragement and support. I also focus on building students' confidence, not just their skills. If a student struggles with pronunciation, for example, I will use targeted exercises and interactive speaking drills. If they have difficulty with writing, I offer structured lessons to improve their grammar, vocabulary, and writing style, while providing detailed feedback. Proven Results I’ve successfully helped many students achieve their language goals, whether it’s passing an exam, improving fluency, or boosting confidence. I’ve had students increase their TOEFL or TOEIC scores and develop stronger communication skills for both personal and professional use.

French Immersion Online Classes: Engaging, Comprehensive Language Learning for Kindergarten to Grade 12 Students (Montreal)
Sara
Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing.

Husam
Husam started to teach my son at the end of last year. He took into account his age, his level of English as well as his interests when suggesting a programme to follow. My son really enjoys his lessons with Husam. He is flexible in terms of agreeing date and time for the lessons.
