Trusted teacher: I offer online or face-to-face English lessons to non-native speakers. I work with the student to identify learning objectives and any areas of weakness and tailor the lesson accordingly. Areas covered during the lesson include, speaking, listening, reading, writing, grammar accent reduction. I currently live in Den Haag, The Netherlands. In addition to private coaching, I also work for an online ESL company delivering English lessons to children across a range of age groups. In addition, I also work as an ESL proofreader and IELTS private tutor here in The Hague. I hold a BA (Hons) degree and have a CELTA qualification. Prior to a career in ESL English teaching, I worked in the UK national press for the Times and Financial Times newspapers. It was there I developed my proofreading and communications skills. In my spare time, I write articles for magazines and have had feature stories published in The Telegraph magazine, The Daily Mail and a number of health magazines. I have also written two language books. The first, 'I Already Speak Speak French!' is an illustrated book for children that covers the etymology of many English words to their French origin (attached is a sample of it for your interest!). It has been translated for the French market into, 'I Already Speak English!' The second book is called, 'Learn Business English FAST!' which draws on a teaching methodology used for effective, fast learning that I used whilst teaching English for the international company, GoFluent.

I offer online classes using a method that I have developed over the years, specifically for online classes. *My method:* -During class we focus on speaking. Outside of class, I will send you exercises that I will correct every week (grammar, conjugation, writing...). -I use a particular technique based on questions/answers to apply the grammar when speaking. -I use the verbotonal method to correct pronunciation. -You will also receive access to an application for your Smartphone (to learn the vocabulary). -Use an interactive whiteboard. -We will use a shared online notebook to correct your exercises and ask me your questions at any time of the day. Miss Sara is a very good teacher. She has a way to keep my 6 year old daughter engaged and encouraged while increasing her abilities in French. I have seen my daughter improve drastically. She challenges her and she started reading many words in the space of 3 months when she could not before in French. The exercises she gives touches a wide range of topics (syllables, vocabulary, sentance building etc) that has allowed my English speakig daughter to cope well in her French school environment. She started understanding what people say to her in French which is amazing.

'Langmethod' French Lessons are an excellent method to learn French. Laurie is very patient and speaks French throughout the lesson, and even though I have to crack my brain sometimes to understand it, it helps in the long run. I can highly recommend Olivier. I haven't spoken much French in the past 10 years and wanted to refresh before an upcoming trip. Olivier prepares for the lesson by selecting articles of interest which we then discuss. The hour goes by very quickly because its fun and interesting! Give him a try!
