I am a tutor with 7+ years of experience teaching at a variety of levels from primary school to GCSE level. I teach English Language, English Literature, ESOL (English for speakers of other languages), Maths, and Creative Writing. I have taught students both in person and remotely, planning lessons using virtual presentations, activities and resources both in the UK and abroad. I believe the most successful results come from fostering a friendship with my students, and providing constant encouragement and support in their areas of interest. I pride myself on being an attentive listener and carefully adapt to the specific needs of my students, which is particularly helpful for my SEN and ESOL pupils. I have previously volunteered as a mentor with charities such as Al Muntaha Tutoring and Debate Mate, providing mentorship, relevant advice, and support to young people. At the beginning of every lesson I also do short icebreaker activities and challenges with my students, using a points reward system to keep them engaged. Previous students have gone on to become the top of their class and receive recognition at school for both English and Maths. Lessons start at 1 hour in length, with longer lessons available if required. Lessons are structured according to the needs of the student; this can be working alongside their class syllabus to support them with progress at school, tackling an area or subject they are specifically struggling with, or helping them prepare for national exams such as GCSEs. I provide feedback after every lesson and detailed progress reports every six months for each student. I primarily offer online lessons as I have found this works well for me and my students, but in some cases I do teach face-to-face depending on location and availability within London. I was thinking, that learning Chinese is extremely difficult, however, thanks to Shan,  this language becomes more and more clear for me. Every lesson is very productive and I feel, that I progress fast! Today, there are numerous teachers, who can teach you Chinese. However, only a few of them can make the educational process so interesting and enjoyable. Luckily for me, Shan is one of them and I am very happy, that I found her. Shan is very precise and corrects every my mistake. She can easily explain how to properly pronounce words with different tones, how to write syllables, the grammar and many more. I like, that with her, I am not just memorising Chinese language, but I do really understand it. Overall, without a doubt, I can say, that Shan is a great teacher! 心💕

I've had different Spanish teachers but Tanya is by far the best for several reasons: - Tanya makes a personal plan together with me which fits perfectly with my learning goals. So no unnecessary grammar but only things whichs helps me with my reason why I approached her - She developed her own personal learning style which helps me making huge steps in a short time - Tanya shows she's well prepared and the work we do and the homework I get is always in extend of the things I want to learn - Besides that she's always happy and a nice person to chat with Quick sumarry: if you want to learn Spanish in a good/fast way with a teacher who is always happy, I would highly recommend Tanya :)

It is never easy to find a good language teacher, who is professional, but also flexible enough to meet the student’s individual needs. Juliana is a fantastic teacher, whose experience, knowledge, understanding and patience creates the perfect atmosphere for improving one’s language skills at all levels. Juliana’s flexibility and adaptation to – the sometimes hectic - availability of students is also very rare and exemplary. Moreover, her extensive world-view/experience helps to maintain conversations with students in any particular subject. Having language courses with Juliana is highly recommended.
