I hold a Chinese teaching certification (CTCSOL) from the Confucius Institute Headquarter, and have 9 years of experience teaching Chinese as a second language to adults learners. Additionally, I founded a Chinese Language training centre in Guangzhou, where I led curriculums development and facilitated both online and offline programs to support students in effectively acquire Mandarin Chinese and integrating into China. Throughout my experience, I have developed strategies to address the unique challenges faced by adult learners, particularly, by students who speak Latin and Germanic root languages as their mother tongue. According to my students, my methods are fun, interactive and practical. Here is a quick summary of what you can learn from me: - Pinyin pronunciation and intonation training - Daily conversational Chinese with topics - Business Chinese and business etiquette - HSK level 1-6 exam preparation when needed - Chinese characters recognition and its methodology - Scientific study methods After completing my MBA study from Germany, I decided to move to Germany out of professional and private reason. I also can adjust the teaching style depending on the students (reading, speaking, writing, and grammar). My French speaking level is still not advanced, so my lessons will be in Japanese or English. It’s 45 years since I either studied or spoke Spanish and I am delighted to have met such a personable tutor who I feel will really help me regain the confidence to use the language again. Javier was keen to know what I wanted to get out of the lessons so that he could meet those requirements. He has suggested a structure tailor made to my needs. This is exactly why I didn’t enrol in an evening class as I feel working with an individual tutor will help me improve much more quickly.

Fluency in European Portuguese: Master the Language with Confidence! (Freiburg)

I highly suggest Mariana! I got into her class when I already had a very basic knowledge of Portuguese and I mostly needed a conversation buddy. As soon as she understood my level, she was able to quickly adjust her approach to my needs by making the classes very fun and my level go up. Every couple of classes she assessed my needs and weaknesses in the language. I had lots of improvements in a couple of months together and the classes fly by!! :)
