With a great experience of the scene, I can help you develop your ear, to learn the bases of the piano, the technical and theoretical notions which will allow you to better understand this language and to become independent. I also teach reading American writing so that I can read a jazz standard or a pop song. I can guide you through some exercises to improve your technique. Whether you are amateur or experienced, if you wish, we will address the vast universe of improvisation.

I graduated from the CNSMDP (National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris) in Saxophone Jazz (Master). I teach saxophone for all types of levels and styles. I like to approach learning this instrument through oral transmission rather than through methods or scores. This is how I learned music and jazz in particular. (I also oriented my dissertation around solo recording and learning through imitation.) However, I read music very well and can work with scores if the student prefers to work that way, or if the style of music requires sheet music.

Hey! My name is Richard and I give private lessons to all levels. For guitar, it is important that you can improve yourself in a pleasant environment in a fun way where your interests are central. For many people improvisation is a scary word and having to improvise in a group or band is an alarming prospect. However, this really does not need to be the case. As long as you have a basic knowledge of how to play your instrument you will be able to improvise. Once you know the principle of how chords are formed you will soon be improvising with ease. If you play a keyboard instrument you will be able to improvise your own pieces and be able to entertain your friends at a moments notice. On the other hand if you play in a band or a group you will be well equipped to do a real 'jam' session. Whether you play a single line instrument (flute, saxophone, trumpet, violin etc.) or keyboard instruments, this class is for you.
