Hi, I'm Laura, I'm a cellist and I love to share my musical knowledge with other people. I have experience with students of all ages and I believe that there is no right age to start learning to play an instrument. I adapt my lessons to the objectives and tastes of each student. I offer in person and online lessons in violin and viola. I am based in Neukölln, Berlin. I have taught violin and viola in the UK for leading national organisations including Opera North, In harmony and Orchestras for All. My teaching style incorporates aspects of Dalcroze and Kodaly methodology as well as improvisation and collaborative composition. I develop a bespoke approach alongside each student to ensure they are able to get the most out of their lessons and make lessons enjoyable. My lessons focus on developing technique and skills required to play music the student has chosen and I incorporate play and games into lessons to enable the most effective learning. I work mostly in classical, improvisation and new music contexts but can provide lessons in all genres. Lessons are in English. Regular, irregular and one-off lessons are possible. I teach from beginner-advanced.
