With me you will learn, in addition to the necessary basics, such as the mixdown, specific production processes. The lessons are made up of practical examples and your objectives. Topics of music production include: Beat creation: - sampling - Explanation of the synthesizer and the sound synthesis (additive, subtractive etc.) - remix Song structure: - Admission - Post processing - arrangement and composition - Use of real and / or sampled instruments Film Score: - background music for a film excerpt and / or trailer - orchestration - sound design Mixing a song: - Dynamic audio editing - Frequency-dependent audio processing - Spatial audio editing - More tips & tricks Basics (mostly for beginners): - planning - equipment - Explanation of the digital audio workstation (DAW) - workflow In addition, I like to pass on my knowledge of piano and music theory. :) Experience: In 2011 Timo took first place in the category '' Best Keyboarder "and" Best Instrumental Soloist "at the German Rock and Pop Prize - an extraordinary success that encouraged him to devote himself entirely to music and to follow his calling. In 2013 he started his studies at the Popakademie Baden-Württemberg - first with a focus on piano and later on producing. During his studies Timo worked with experienced musicians from all over the world and was trained by well-known lecturers such as Prof. Mathias Leber, Prof. Alexander Päffgen and Prof. Florian Sitzmann. In 2015/16 he worked as part of some internships at Naidoo / Herberger Produktion in various recording studios. An intellectually as well as practically valuable experience in which Timo was able to deal intensively with studio work and expand his know-how for music productions. In 2019/20 Timo wrote the score for "Line Walker 2: Invisible Spy" (Shaw Brothers, Babieka) and "Declared Legally Dead" (Emperor Motion Pictures) together with Yusuke Hatano. In the games division, he composed the music for the RPG “The Revenant Prince” (Nomina Games). In addition, Timo works with bands and artists and is involved in a wide range of TV and advertising areas. My name is Lloyd and I am a touring DJ & Producer, who has released on labels including Morph (Miami), King Street (New York), Somatic Records (London), and many more. I have taught so many awesome talents , and now I'm looking for people like you, who want to either make a start producing music, or develop skills already acquired on Ableton Live. My music production tuition is split into the following sessions as an initial course: SESSION 1 - Getting started: Clip View, Arrangement vs Session View, Device View, (Browser and Toolbars) - import your sounds and download free Virtual Studio Technology plug ins. Arrangement view techniques and taking initial session ideas to arrangement. SESSION 2 - Working with MIDI, making a groove from drums. Methods that can be replicated every time you start a dance track. Creation of loops and velocities. Quantisation of recorded MIDI. Here, you will write your own basslines/melodies. SESSION 3 - Working with Audio - grid settings, warping, looping. Recording external audio and fitting within the mix. SESSION 4 - Mixing, Processing and automation. Using various effect types to spark interest across the track, by adopting plug ins, send and return tracks. Making sure that there are not phasing issues, and learning the basics of EQ and compression. SESSION 5/6 - You take the lead! What aspects would you like to further work on? I will analyse your track here, with critical analysis and see how we can improve the final arrangement, so it’s dance floor ready. Bounce to WAV file for storage.
