I had the great privilege of having Sofia preparing me for a competitive international orchestra audition in November 2022. During the brief time we had for the preparation, Sofia has not only shown thorough understanding of violin techniques - from the fundamentals to the more virtuosic - but also a command of the whole spectrum of musical expressions, both of which she was able to convey with clarity and effectively. Furthermore, due to her extensive experience in performances/auditions, she identified my strengths and weaknesses immediately from the start and designed a strategic practice plan specifically for me, which helped me improve rapidly within our short time frame and maxed out my performance at the audition. She is a rare teacher who is encouraging and shares the students’ passions, without compromising critical judgement in any flaws in performance, giving me a realistic assessment of my abilities and a great sense of security before the audition. Musical matters aside - she is a caring, warm, and passionate person who does not hesitate to mobilise all her resources to help me -intellectually or otherwise, despite her busy schedule. I honestly could not have completed my audition without the advice and confidence she gave me. 10/10 would recommend.

A really good flute teacher who sets interesting challenges to motivate practising the flute every day and independently. She also has plenty of up-to-date ideas combining different material sources (including digitals! top notch teacher with IT!) according to my needs and interests. She teaches me a lot of very useful tips for my level and I can hear a clear difference from a lesson to another. Yet, no miracle either: you must practice! But with the right instructions, she can help you pass obstacles you may have thought they were impossible to overcome. And playing the flute becomes a mere pleasure and joyful challenge! Besides, she never allows you to rest in your comfortable zone! There are always plenty of interesting and useful things to learn with great pleasure rather than with pain and stress! Asja is really a good teacher to me, since I had 10 lessons from her before and my level growing from 3 to 4 during the lessons. Now I bought 10 lessons from her again. I planed to be her student in my whole piano studying life, because she is very good at teaching piano. Not only good at teaching me about the piano skills, melodious, and to be patience, but also good at correct my mistakes and explain how to improved it until I totally got her point. Especially some mistakes I don’t how to express those problems, but I feel something wrong. Share some useful skills with me to improve my skills gradually. Always have a happy lesson from her, and feel so friendly with her 😊 Its my luck to have such a good teacher 😃
