Trusted teacher: Dear parents, dear students I welcome you. You are looking for a CHEMISTRY teacher, and I hope you find one who can meet your expectations. Maybe I would be the right person for you? To help you choose, here is my profile and what I can bring you through my lessons and my way of supporting students. My name is Minh, researcher at CNRS Gif-sur-Yvette. My daily life consists of using organic chemistry to make new "stuff". My “stuff” are molecules that I build from atoms. And my dream is that one day I will produce a molecule that can kill the damn cancer. When I'm not making molecules, I like to teach others how to make them. This is why I was a teacher at the University of Paris Sud. At the university, I was in charge of tutorials and practical work in organic chemistry. During those two years, I realized that when you give a class in an amphitheater of 400 students, the biggest challenge was to reach every student in the class. It was an impossible mission because each student has their own pace. For some my teaching was too fast and too complex, for others it was too slow and did not challenge them enough. So I decided to quit academia and become a part-time private professor of organic chemistry. *** Now let me convince you why you should hire me as an organic chemistry tutor;) First of all, because I am mainly specialized in intensive preparation in general chemistry and organic chemistry for the most demanding competitions and exams: - health studies (EU 1, new PACES / PASS reform) - grandes écoles (Polytechnic / ENS preparation) - Agro / Véto (BCPST and B ENV) - Scientific secondary school diploma In parallel, I help to boost the academic record of BTS, IUT, license (L1, L2, L3) / master (M1, M2) of chemistry for bridges. But the most important thing is that I don't just pass on knowledge or instill a working method. I am committed to creating a climate of trust that will encourage you to give the best of yourself. I support you in your progress and adapt the work carried out in progress by taking into account your strengths as your weak points. I encourage you with each progress made and prevent you from giving up in case of underperformance. I vary the exercises and the pace of the sessions, in order to avoid the routine to settle down. For all these reasons, my private lessons are unlike any other. They are unique. Like each of my students :). *** Important Info: The services give the right to a tax advantage without conditions of resources: The amounts paid during one year are thus reimbursed up to 50% the following year. This is possible since my activity, carried out under the micro-enterprise regime, has been declared to DIRRECTE. I also offer courses by videoconference / webcam with suitable equipment, the goal is to recreate a working atmosphere as if we were side by side and to make the course even more efficient thanks to an appropriate camera. Unlike most other tutors, I do not charge extra for additional students. If you want to study together with one or two friends, you can! Group classes provide a very valuable opportunity for discussion and brainstorming. However, working in a group also means that you will have less individual attention than you would normally get in an individual lesson. I accept employment-service checks (CESU) which allows you to benefit from a tax reduction of around 50% on the hour of class.

Trusted teacher: My name is Maximilien, Master's degree in aeronautical engineering at ULB. I have been teaching mathematics, physics and chemistry since 2017, so I have experience and good contact with students. For several years I have been living in Portugal where I am working on a reforestation project in the South-West of Alentejo so I cannot give lessons on site, only by webcam. I mainly use Zoom. I stopped giving science lessons for two years to concentrate on my work here but this winter I gave kitesurfing lessons for a season in Nicaragua and it really made me want to get back in touch with science. education. The principle of my courses is often academic support, so I base myself on the course given and I try to re-explain the concepts. Organizational level, a single course can be requested, for example in the case of a particular subject point which is misunderstood, but it is also possible to organize regular monitoring of the student. What I love about math classes is trying to spark a student, which will make them understand a subject. I say it often but above all, don't hesitate to tell me if things are misunderstood, things can be explained in many different ways and I don't mind if I have to start over ten times, each one having its own logic. which is not always the same as that commonly taught in mathematics and science! I teach from first secondary school to university baccalaureate graduates (in the case of more advanced baccalaureate courses, not all of them are necessarily within my reach or a little preparation may be necessary for the course to run smoothly). The fields of mathematics, physics and chemistry. (Bouskoura)
Yousra
Mathematics has always been a struggle for me, dating back to my childhood, and the challenges only intensified as I reached Year 11. Last summer, I found myself in a situation where I had to take a reset exam due to failing the year in Mathematics. This is where Ms. Yousra entered my life, and I couldn't be more grateful for it. I can honestly say that Miss Yousra is an exceptional teacher. Her patience and understanding with her students are commendable and she strikes a balance between formality and kindness, creating a nurturing atmosphere where you always feel supported. No matter the circumstances, I knew she was there for me through thick and thin. Additionally, Ms. Yousra's organizational skills and her profound knowledge of Mathematics make her an outstanding tutor. She ensures that you grasp each topic completely before moving on, providing homework after every lesson, which proved to be immensely helpful for me. Her meticulous planning and session calendars demonstrate her commitment to being well-prepared for every class. In just three weeks, Miss Yousra helped me prepare for my Math Resit Exam, which covered everything from my entire Year 10 IGCSE Mathematics curriculum. Thanks to her, my grades improved from a mere 20% to a 70%—she didn’t just help me catch up, but also excel. Her teaching is nothing short of magical, and I'm incredibly appreciative to have had her as my tutor. I eagerly look forward to having lessons with her again this year. If you've ever struggled with Math, Miss Yousra can absolutely transform your perspective on the subject and help you excel. She is, without a doubt, amazing.

Fabian
Fabian is an excellent tutor. My daughter needed to pass the CCVX and Boswell Beta exams in Chemistry to qualify for admission at a Dutch University after having completed high school in the United States. Fabian was able to explain complex ideas in a simplified manner and created a comfortable learning environment for my daughter to thrive in. He adapted his teaching to her learning style so she was able to really engage with what was being taught. The result was her successfully passing both exams this summer and subsequently being admitted to the university. She is now in her first semester at the university and feeling confident and thankful for Fabian's support in getting her there!

Maria
Our 12th grade IB student daughter has only had one one-on-one and one online lesson so far and we can say that Maria has gone above and beyond in providing reliable feedback on an IA in HL chem. We are going to continue throughout the pre-exams of IB and see how Maria can help IB revision in SL math, HL bio and perhaps HL physics. Very happy to have met Maria via this platform.
