I taught M1 and M5 math for 10 years in the English Program for Talented Students at Satit Patumwan Demonstration School in Bangkok before moving to Cha Am in 2021. I'm an ex-research engineer from the San Diego, US with 18 years' experience designing, building and testing prototypes and experiments for multiple government agencies as a private contractor, including the FAA, DARPA, NRL, and the FCC. This experience has given me a unique ability, combined with my love of almost anything technical, to reach students who previously could not see the light, and to help successful students to see their full potential. I love working with kids to help them see and reach their dreams. Many students need to see the connection between the math or science they are learning today and the real world. I struggled with math because I needed to understand how and why it worked, I couldn't just memorize equations and then be expected to apply them. Without this connection many students can get frustrated with math and lose the motivation to work hard enough to reach their goals. It's not new that even top medical universities across the globe are seeking math, physics and engineering graduates above all else. Having a good basic understanding of math at an early age is critical, and the P5 to M3 age level is probably the most critical. This is where I can make the biggest impact, and hopefully set students on a successful trajectory. My proudest achievement in life has been watching my previous students/friends become successful and knowing I had at least a small part in helping them get there. It's hard to really get to know, and become friends with 70 new students a year, but I made it my mission. Really knowing a student helps me figure out why they should be learning math, and how best to teach it to them. It is a lot more fun to learn math with a friend, plus, we are motivated by our friends, and we want to make them proud. Math skills are your golden ticket when you graduate high school — they can open up so many doors for you. That’s why I teach math instead of physics or chemistry.

*** Presentation *** : I graduated from Paris-Saclay University with a Master M2 in robotics. My passion for mathematics encourages me to share my knowledge and support you in your academic journey. Whether you are preparing for exams, looking to better understand your homework or simply want to improve your understanding of mathematics, I am at your side to provide you with my support. ***Teaching techniques and methods***: My teaching approach is tailored to each student. I favor an interactive method, encouraging you to ask questions and actively participate in the course. Each session is personalized according to your needs, whether it is to strengthen your basics or to delve deeper into more complex concepts. For online courses, I use an iPad tablet, which makes the sessions particularly interactive and facilitates the visualization of concepts thanks to diagrams and annotations in real time. This allows for greater clarity and a more immersive learning experience. *** Typical course outline ***: Each course begins with a review of the concepts seen previously to ensure their understanding. Then, we cover new concepts or specific points that you want to work on, with practical exercises to consolidate what you have learned. At the end of the course, a summary of the important points is made, and optional homework may be proposed to reinforce the progress. During online courses, the use of my iPad makes the course interactive and clearly visible to you, while facilitating the monitoring of the exercises in real time. *** Specificities as a teacher ***: With my generalist and robotics background, I have a rigorous and structured approach, while remaining attentive and listening to the needs of each student. I am able to simplify complex concepts, making mathematics more accessible and less intimidating. My experience allows me to adapt courses to both struggling students and those looking to excel. *** Who are the courses for ***: My courses are aimed at middle school, high school and university students, regardless of their level of competence. Whether you are looking for support for an exam, improvement or simply regular monitoring, I adapt to your specific needs.

Hello, I am a mathematics masters student specializing in algebra, geometry and number theory. I have graduated from the university of Groningen with a bachelor in mathematics. As such, I've spent a great deal of time studying mathematics at a higher level and have become acquainted with a broad range of mathematical disciplines such as algebra, geometry, analysis, calculus, probability, optimization and more, this of-course includes any high school mathematics. During my studies I working as a teaching assistant whenever possible so I have some experience teaching. In mathematics there are often many ways to come to the same conclusion and it varies from person to person what they consider easiest to understand. As such I try to get to know the student first and figure out how they may learn best. Personally, I rely a lot on intuition and deep understanding of concepts and so i try to convey to students the most essential and fundamental ideas before moving on, as well as, giving them interpretations of what is happening so that they may becomes easier to imagine and more tangible. In solving any problem, I think it is important to first sit back and understand what is going on before embarking on any calculation or proofs. In a typical class I would first survey what the student already knows and discuss the concepts with them making sure they understand them very well then we would move on to discussing examples and non-examples (this would take most of the class). Finally we would solve problems together discussing them as we go along. This of course can vary from student to student, their level and time available.

Algebra
Mathematics involves the description and manipulation of abstract objects that consist of either abstractions from nature or—in modern mathematics—purely abstract entities that are stipulated to have certain properties, called axioms. Mathematics uses pure reason to prove properties of objects, a proof consisting of a succession of applications of deductive rules to already established results. These results include previously proved theorems, axioms, and—in case of abstraction from nature—some basic properties that are considered true starting points of the theory under consideration.[1] Mathematics is essential in the natural sciences, engineering, medicine, finance, computer science, and the social sciences. Although mathematics is extensively used for modeling phenomena, the fundamental truths of mathematics are independent of any scientific experimentation. Some areas of mathematics, such as statistics and game theory, are developed in close correlation with their applications and are often grouped under applied mathematics. Other areas are developed independently from any application (and are therefore called pure mathematics) but often later find practical applications.[2][3] Historically, the concept of a proof and its associated mathematical rigour first appeared in Greek mathematics, most notably in Euclid's Elements.[4] Since its beginning, mathematics was primarily divided into geometry and arithmetic (the manipulation of natural numbers and fractions), until the 16th and 17th centuries, when algebra[a] and infinitesimal calculus were introduced as new fields. Since then, the interaction between mathematical innovations and scientific discoveries has led to a correlated increase in the development of both.[5] At the end of the 19th century, the foundational crisis of mathematics led to the systematization of the axiomatic method,[6] which heralded a dramatic increase in the number of mathematical areas and their fields of application. The contemporary Mathematics Subject Classification lists more than sixty first-level areas of mathematics.

German courses for all levels at home or online (Tunis)
Khalil
I recommend Khalil without a doubt to anyone looking to improve his/her German level in both writing and speaking. He is a very professional, structured and knowledgeable teacher. He was able to immediately evaluate my level of German during the very first lesson and adjust the teaching methodology and materials accordingly. I am truly impressed with his patience and dedication towards teaching the proper German pronunciation with all its complexities and difficulties as well as the proper rules when it comes to grammar and language. We also had lessons using Skype which is also a good option for those who have a limited amount of spare time or are too far apart from the teacher. It is obvious that Khalil loves what he is doing and is willing to put all his effort into his passion. I wholeheartedly recommend Khalil for anyone wanting to learn the language.
