I've taught with the most reputable children's musical theatre organizations in NYC with students of all ages as well as private students and I've worked with Broadway stars such as Laura Osnes, Karen Mason and Ron Bohmer, who have also recorded my music, and I'm excited to bring my 20 yrs of teaching experience to Berlin! I teach songwriting as well, if that is something you're interested in. I'm a classically trained singer who performed with the San Francisco Opera and other companies both in opera and musical theatre for many years. Though I specialize now in musical theatre, I am happy and comfortable teaching you to sing in whatever style you prefer. The basics are the same! In our lessons, we will work on breath, correct vowel pronunciation, placement, diction, etc... as well as getting rid of the tension and habits that keep us from singing freely and beautifully. We will also work on the musical and dramatic aspects of the material we choose together, so that you will feel comfortable at an audition or a performance. And I keep lessons fun so that you can both learn and progress each week AND enjoy yourself! She adapts the curriculum based on the needs and the priorities of the student so they can start speaking Greek as soon as possible. In case some particular quirky aspect of the Greek language troubles you, Margarita will put an extra effort into helping you to understand it. She is also quite flexible with the schedule, which is great because it lets me keep learning the Greek as an after work activity. I'm very pleased with Margarita as a Greek tutor.

I so enjoyed my class with Deborah! Immediately from when I first went in, I felt very comfortable. It was a really fun session, we went through different songs that I like, for her to get a feeling for my voice. She also already gave me some really helpful advice, which I can already feel the difference in how much power I have in my voice! I am really looking forward to my future sessions with her.
