Piano Lessons for Music Lovers and Time-Starved Professionals
Hello there!
Do you wish to learn to play the piano but do not have several hours every day to dedicate to practicing? I can help! With 15 years of teaching experience, I’ve honed my methods to facilitate rapid progress and maximize efficiency. My students achieve in months, what usually takes years when following a conventional music school program. Nonetheless, I am not taking any shortcuts. On the contrary, one of the reasons why my students progress so fast is my insistence on building solid fundamentals. I strive for my students to master the necessary tools for them to then achieve their own personal ambitions.
Having observed the practice routines of professionals and university students worldwide, I've realized that there's often much time to be gained during practice. Realizing everyone's personnality, approach, affinities and tastes are different, I prioritize a personalized approach tailored to your individual learning style. Together, we'll make the most of our sessions, whether you're a beginner diving into music or an intermediate player seeking to enhance your skills. And guess what? You won't need to practice for hours on end to see significant improvement. With regular lessons, even just 15 minutes of practice three times a week can lead to enormous progress. As I often say, the learning process is more akin to a marathon than a sprint.
While efficiency is important, I believe that learning should be fun and inspiring. In my lessons, you can expect a supportive and encouraging environment. I'll be there with you every step of the way, celebrating your achievements and helping you overcome any challenges that arise. Together, we'll create a positive and empowering learning experience.
Ready to embark on your fast and efficient piano learning journey? Contact me to schedule lessons and get ready for a rewarding musical adventure! Looking forward to hearing from you!

About Me
Translated by Google. Click to view original.
I am Carl, a Canadian pianist of Chinese origin. My musical journey began at the age of eleven when I started taking piano lessons. I received my initial training at the University of Montreal and the Haute École de Musique de Genève. Over the years, I have developed a deep passion for song interpretation, which has led me to explore self-study with remarkable success. In fact, this dedication brought me to the finals of the Lied Duo category at the Mahler Competition in Geneva in 2018.Motivated by my love for music, I decided to further my studies in Vienna. Currently, I am pursuing song accompaniment at the University of Music and Performing Arts Vienna, guided by the esteemed Prof. Justus Zeyen. Throughout my musical journey, I have had the privilege of learning from renowned teachers such as Marc Durand, Roy Howat, Avedis Kouyoumdjian, Anne Le Bozec, David Lutz, Anne Queffélec, Jacques Rouvier, and Dang Thai Son.
I have been fortunate enough to showcase my talents through numerous recitals in Switzerland, Canada, and Austria. The recognition of my hard work and dedication has resulted in receiving various scholarships, awards, and honors. Multiple times, I have been selected as a finalist in the Canadian Music Competition, and in 2015, I proudly secured the 1st prize at the Clermont-Pépin Competition. Most recently, my research on Franz Schubert, part of my doctoral dissertation, earned me the esteemed Globalink Grant from the Canadian MITACS program.
I am truly grateful for the opportunity to pursue my passion professionally and am looking forward to sharing my passion!

Piano lessons in Vienna - For Beginners and AdvancedI am a pianist from Italy, currently based in Vienna, offering private piano lessons in my studio in the 5th district.
Are you looking for a teacher supporting you in your musical path and dreams?
Teaching has always been one of my greatest passions. I love to listen to my students, assist them to face any challenge, help them finding their own path, and ultimately pass onto them my passion for Music.
My commitment in the field of education is mainly aimed at young professional musicians. My international experience has provided me with the tools to prepare them for international competitions, admissions to Academies and Schools of Higher Education, Conservatories and Universities, supporting and encouraging them to pursue their dreams.
I am deeply grateful to my teachers especially Lilya Zilberstein, Riccardo Zadra, Mariagrazia Bellocchio, Stefania Redaelli, Naum Grubert and Roberto Plano.
I truly believe Music has the power to enrich and empower people's lives, whether you are a beginner and you always wanted to learn how to play an instrument and if you are a professional musician willing to improve your musicianship skills.
I would be happy to accompany you on this journey.
The lessons can be in Italian or English.
Looking forward to meeting you!

I always enjoy working with children and adults of different ages.

Play your favorite songs straight away, write your own songs and record them (git or keys)LEARNING BY HEART
Learn to play/sing favorite songs:
- Depending on your ability, we simplify (or enrich) the accompaniment and improve it in a fluid manner
- I'll show you various "hacks" and shortcuts
- you don't have to do anything "right", you can follow the fun.
- play/practice without pressure, how does that work...? You can make it easier for yourself! How much time you invest stays with you. :-)
- any style possible, as long as it makes sense for you technically
- Singing: easy!
Write your own songs:
- I give you different "glasses", "rails" through which you come up with new ideas, both for the music as well as the lyrics and singing
- "writers block" - from the head back to the heart using simple techniques
- learn to use the hidden treasure trove of ideas in your body (subconscious)!
- and most importantly: have fun with “bad” songs!
generally:
- you will find clear goals for each hour (e.g. record a song or parts of it,...), for the next few weeks and for the next months
- we record as much as possible because it is the best exercise (and the most exciting ;-) and you have something "in your hands" that is satisfying in itself, no matter how "perfect" it is (everything is perfect How clean is up to you ;-).
- I'll help you promote the joy of sharing your music ("I can give something!")
- and above all: learn to feel what really makes you happy.
It's important to me that you feel safe with me and have fun, no matter how things are going. I'm happy if you dare, it can only get better! :-)

Music production, piano and music theory lessonsThis course is for the interested piano beginner or anyone who wants to learn more about music theory and sheet music.

In recent years I have focused a lot on music production and music theory.
I'm happy for you!

Friendly and focussed Singing and Music Theory Lessons, taught in English by a native speakerI have four years experience teaching voice, to both adults and children. Lessons can be orientated towards a specific goal, or simply to expand the limits of what you are capable of. My teaching follows a classical vocal technique, and we will also talk about interpretation, in terms of musicality, style and language. I have a strong musically academic background, so teach theory, either attached to vocal lessons, or separately.

Groovy, dynamic lessons in Jazz Piano, Music Theory and/or Music Production In English or Spanish (Klavier, Jazz, Musik Theorie, Produktion)In my experience over the past few years as a piano teacher to students of all levels and ages, I have found that people learn so much more when they are able to express themselves and have a fun time from the very first lesson.
For this reason I focus on teaching piano and music through the lens of jazz, which allows for so much freedom as well as being really educational in all different styles of music. In my classes you will learn how music really works in a relevant way by studying music that you yourself enjoy listening to and would like to create, and practice dynamically using tools like backing tracks which make it feel like there is a band in the room with you!
I also produce electronic/funk/neo soul music for my solo project and as a session musician. If learning music production interests you, I can also help you with that!
I am happy to teach in my house in the 7th district or as well I can come to you.
Please don't hesitate to be in touch. Thanks!

Attention, piano enthusiasts, beginners - piano course for young pianistsThis course is intended for piano enthusiasts, curious and slightly advanced pianists.
The goal is to learn a basic understanding and feeling for playing the piano in order to ultimately be able to master simple to moderately difficult pieces without problems.
I myself already enjoyed a twelve-year classical education at the music school and therefore have a comprehensive understanding of my instrument and the associated music theory.
In past years I also played percussion instruments such as drums and am currently practicing playing the violin.
I'm happy for you!

Piano lessons - music theory and harmony - for any levelI teach for all levels, from children starting from zero to students who want to prepare certifications at the Conservatories, passing through amateurs or simply curious of any age.
I firmly believe in the importance of knowing how to read music and this is exactly what I teach first, obviously adapting the method to the age of my students: knowing how to read music is knowing one more language, which, if learned well, won’t ever be forgotten (like riding a bicycle!) and it is an invaluable wealth. Starting from that point I teach the position of the hand, the arm and the whole body at the piano, the fundamentals of the piano technique (giving great importance to the percussive movement of the finger and the distribution of weight), the understanding of musical language, the expression of the personality through the keyboard, the search for touch and knowledge of piano repertoire.
