This one-on-one course will help students write correctly in American style English. It can be for native English speakers or foreigners alike, as I have worked with both before. We can go over grammar rules, sentence wording, and essay writing.

I have designed this course to ensure that students get a thorough and detailed learning of Mathematics and English, tailored to the syllabus they follow. This course aims to provide additional training to allow you to have an advantage in your lessons at school and focus on polishing the skills that may have been missed in the classroom. The focus will be to build a strong understanding of the subject so the student is then able to tackle all questions with ease and efficiency. Personal learning plans will be created for each student to identify areas for improvement and to ensure all learning is maximised.

I`m a fully qualified teacher achieving my Postgraduate Certificate in Education in 2016. I have a positive outlook on teaching and learning and I’m a calm, friendly, and approachable teacher. My core priority is to bring out the best in all students and to do this a child`s relationship with learning needs to be positive. To develop this I incorporate growth mindset methods within my teaching, which means I praise the way your child approaches a challenge — not just the end result. I also work hard to build a child’s confidence through my positive teaching approach. This involves appropriate pace, clear examples and explanations, and suitable amounts of practice.

English taught for younger children or pre-school could be relative to reading, writing and comprehension. Where I’ll be working to improve their handwriting and vocabulary by doing regular engaging activities. For GCSE students the following content for Literature would be covered for: -Macbeth -An Inspector Calls I’ll be teaching some writing structures for each, as well as some content on key analysis. Student is already expected to know all the basic storylines, characters and some analysis. But I may repeat it for you if you’re confused. For Language, content would be covered for: -Language Paper 1 and 2 -Creative Writing Writing structures will be taught for each question. Some examples given and also a lot of creative writing work as it’s my specialty.
