Hello, my name is Melani and I am currently studying Master of Music in the fields of composition and music education. I have also already completed the Edgar Willems International Music Education Diploma in Ljubljana. For five years I was a music teacher at the music school GCEW (Glasbeni Centre Edgar Willems) in Ljubljana, where I taught music for younger children (ages 3 to 7), solfeggio, music theory and piano as an intern.

My specialty is definitely the Edgar Willems pedagogical approach, which encourages children to develop musical skills and acquire basic rhythmic, melodic and harmonic skills through guided play. Although the pedagogical method is the most recognized and used in musical initiation for the youngest, in my teaching I apply my knowledge to all areas (singing, piano, solfeggio...).
This method is also very successful and suitable for teaching disabled children, as theory follows experience and gives students the opportunity to express themselves through music.

In my lessons we will sing a lot, play, listen to music, move to it and learn about improvisation. In my lessons I can offer piano lessons (at home only keyboard), singing (pop, jazz), solfeggio and music theory (harmony) as well as introduction to music for younger children.

*The lessons are held in English, but I can also speak some German.
